ROBB MACMILLAN takes over as Club Coach
North Hobart Cricket Club is excited to announce that Robb MacMillan has accepted the role of Club Coach for the upcoming cricket season. Robb has a mountain of playing experience having been involved in the game for the past 20 years. Since joining the Dees 5 years ago, Robb has held many roles from our strength and conditioning coach to assistant and senior assistant coaching positions.
Robb’s desire to coach at a senior level was fueled when both he and Alex Pyecroft took over the Club Coaching role in Season 17/18 when our then Coach, Wade Townsend , was appointed to a role at Cricket Tasmania
Last season, under the watch of Dan Marsh, Robb continued to hone his coaching skills to the point where he is now ready to take on the big gig. Together with Dan, Robb credits both his father Stuart and the Clubs previous coach, Wade Townsend as being major influences on his coaching philosophies, together with some great senior players and coaches from his previous Club South Hobart Sandy Bay
Whether you be a player who just wants a game of cricket or someone who wants to progress to a higher level, Robb is committed to ensuring that he and his coaching team will support you in achieving your goals. “If every player, coach and volunteer brings the right attitude, the right effort and total honesty to the table we will all achieve our personal and team goals”.
Dan Marsh will continue with the Club as our specialist batting coach as well as being on hand to assist and continue to mentor Robb. Dan is looking forward to being able to spend more time in the nets with all teams when not committed to the Tassie Tigers Women’s Team.
